♦ Anger and concerns boiled over during public commenting yesterday at Salisbury’s City Council Meeting. Still reeling from City Council’s cover-up of the “mutual termination” of Doug Paris, his “golden parachute” and the caldron surrounding the calls for resignation of Chief of Police Rory Collins over at a news conference on Webb Road, citizens spoke out about a number of topics. Those topics included a lack of diversity among city employees, already a dwindling lot due to the city’s financial unsteadiness and concerns about Miller recreation being contracted out to the Salvation army.
William Peoples, a community advocate and critic of City Hall, told City Council they needed to listen to residents and investigate their complaints. “Are you really listening when people come up here and talk to you?
