Murder in Richfield, Rowan County. Manhunt for Montannez Antonio Moody Alleged to Have Shot Down 17 Year-Old Girl

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is hunting for Montannez Antonio Moody, 33, from Concord is alleged to have murdered a 17 year-old girl in Richfield, Rowan County.  The shooting took place around 10 p.m. Saturday night.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on the 4000 block of Richfield Road on a home invasion and shooting report.  When they arrived they discovered two females with gunshot wounds, ages 17 and 54.  Both females were transported to the hospital by Rowan County EMS.  The 17 year-old died from gunshot wounds.  Julia Moody,54, is expected to survive.

Moody allegedly showed up at his estranged wife Julia Moody’s home, broke out a door window, and started firing.  According to reports Moody’s estranged wife, Julia, filed  a domestic violence order in late-August. The couple was due in court for that order on Monday.
